“My IRM Financial Services in Risk Management qualification is a treasure, I primarily work in Financial Services and have the opportunity to study risk and understand why it is so important especially in the Financial Services arena, is one of the wisest decisions I’ve made to invest in.”

Audrey Onsomu, IRMCert, PwC

“I believe that a risk professional has a very demanding, but exciting role. It requires a good foundation, and this means understanding the risk management principles in particular and risk governance in general. The qualification, in my opinion, covers this.”

Claudia Craia (Cruceru), International Personal Finance, Plc

“The IRM International Certificate in ERM is typically a must-have for any risk leader. I was late in pursuing it. However, having a globally accepted view of managing risk at my level was important since many important stakeholders rely on my reports for critical decision-making purposes. Besides, having the certification is a definite career booster in the long run.”

Sospeter Thiga, IRMCert Group, Compliance and Performance Monitoring

“It was an amazing opportunity to get certified in ERM. Studying for this certificate allowed me to apply the knowledge I gained from this to my current role in establishing ERM in the company that I am working in. I applied the resources and knowledge I gained from the course to make the current risk management framework of our company. I was able to know which of the best principles to use. Also, one of the most valuable things I learned was how to create and cultivate a risk-aware culture within the organisation.

This is likely to take a substantial amount of time as cultural changes are never easy. However, this course allowed me to learn effective and efficient ways of doing this. I also learned how to align our risk management framework to international standards and best practices and even get a deeper understanding of the role of risk management in corporate governance. Overall, the International Certificate in Enterprise Risk Management allowed me to gain more confidence in the work that I am currently doing as a risk manager.”

Nayasheen Naaif, IRMCert, Risk Manager, Aasandha Company Limited

“The International Certificate in Financial Services Risk Management gives you confidence in your knowledge of risk concepts that you may have already learned while working, by cementing the foundations of those concepts in your mind. It gives you an in-depth understanding of the origins of financial regulations; how to categorise and mitigate different risks; understanding of the role of strategy, projects, and operations, and so much more. If risk management is a career that you are serious about pursuing, then I highly recommend this course for the wealth of applicable knowledge that is sure to help early on in your career and as well as in the later stages.”

Owen Kane , IRMCert, Risk Analyst, Atrium Underwriters
